This young athlete has impressive social media audience
The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile backers when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He suggested me to play, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, especially with youth audiences.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
